EVS has created an innovative two-step process to verify consumer information and to authenticate their identity:
The verification process matches and compares the consumer data provided against credit bureau data in a real-time setting, and immediately reports back failed matches to notify the merchant of a potential problem.
The authentication process provides the greatest level of assurance for faceless transactions, requesting “out-of-wallet” information directly from the consumer that would not generally be carried in a purse or wallet. Authentication is often used in conjunction with the EVS verification product. If a transaction fails the verification process, authentication can be applied as a final test.
Check Verification is also available, which provides merchants with the ability to accept checks over the Internet in a secure manner. This enables our customers to increase their profit margins by avoiding credit card transaction fees.
